Megan Rojo, who has served as an instructional specialist for the past five years, has been named Early Childhood Center assistant director. She replaces Brandy Wolfenbarger who was elevated to the director at the school.

“Thank you Dr. (Superintendent Jim) Rollins and the administration team for trusting me in this position,” Rojo said. “I am honored to be a part of the pre-k team. I would also like to thank Brandy Wolfenbarger for giving me the opportunity to interview and I cannot wait to work together.”

Rojo earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a master’s as a reading specialist, and an Educational Leadership degree from Harding University.

She taught first grade in Scotland for a year before moving back to Arkansas to teach at Bayyari Elementary for four years.

“Mrs. Rojo currently serves as an instructional specialist for the district, and in that position, she has focused on the development of our prekindergarten curriculum,” Rollins said. “This pre-K curriculum has been widely recognized as one of the state's finest, and all concerned acknowledge Mrs. Rojo's outstanding leadership in developing pre-K curricula.

“Our entire leadership team is enthusiastic about Mrs. Rojo assuming this new role.”
