Walker 4th and 5th Grade Parents, Our 4th and 5th grade choir will be performing in the Walker cafeteria at 2:20 pm tomorrow. All parents who have a child in the choir are welcome to attend. Please bring your ID to the office to get a visitors badge before going to the cafeteria. Thank you!

Mrs. Brittainy Silvey was named as the 2021-22 PTA Volunteer of the Year during a ceremony at the Don Tyson School of Innovation on Thursday, April 14th. Mrs. Silvey has served on the PTA board for six years in various roles including president. During these years, Mrs. Silvey has dedicated many hours to serve the needs of our Wildcats. We appreciate the work of Mrs. Silvey and enjoyed being about to celebrate her work as our volunteer. of the year!

Today is our annual Walker PTA color run . Our Wildcats will be running on the track to raise funds for PTA projects. We appreciate all that you are doing to help support our 2022 Color Run. We would love for all of our parents to come and watch the Color Run. Each grade/class has a time to run. Please make plans to join us and watch your child run. The times for each class/grade are listed below. Walker Wildcats! Tomorrow is the big day! Color Run 2022! Make sure to wear shorts and tennis shoes that can get some colored powder on them, and you can wear 80’s themed apparel as well for a totally tubular good time! You can bring $1 to get your hair painted before school and we have some extra head sweatbands for $5 that we will sell until they are gone! If you forgot your fundraising packet today, you can bring them tomorrow! Come ready to have a great time!!

Attention All Walker Seniors, The faculty, staff, and students of Walker Elementary would like to invite you to attend our Annual Walker Wildcat Senior Walk on Wednesday, the 18th of May at 1:15 PM. The Seniors will walk through the hallways to be celebrated by Walker teachers and students. Our current students will be thrilled to see you walking in your cap and gown. Celebration music will be playing and, of course, high-5s are expected! After your celebration walk, we will have a short assembly followed by a reception in your honor with your former teachers. We are so proud of each of you and can't wait to CELEBRATE this accomplishment! Don't forget to wear your cap and gown. Dear Walker Parents, Here is an important newsletter from our Walker PTA about the upcoming annual Walker Color Run happening on Friday, April 15th. One week from today, student's will turn in their fundraiser packets for Color Run! We hope that each child can raise at least $20.00. We know they can do it with your help and support. Go Wildcats! Our color run theme is 80s/Neon! We would love to see all of our Wildcats and their guests dressed up for this event. Bus 153 was delayed due to a mechanical issue. Students are now on the way but will be delayed.

Walker Elementary has an after school program (ROAR). We are about to start a new six week session on Monday that will go from April 12th-May 24th. ROAR will be Monday through Thursday from 3:00-5:30p.m. During ROAR, students will be given a snack, educational time (homework help), club time, and will be served dinner. Students must be picked up by 6:00p.m. Limited spots are available. If your child has already attended session 1 or 2, we may have space for them to join us for the 3rd session. If you are interested in signing up your child for ROAR, contact their classroom teacher for an informational sign up note.

We are so thankful for our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Missy Wright. Mrs. Wright provides help and encouragement to our Wildcat readers. Happy National School Librarian Day, Mrs. Wright! We appreciate all you do for our Wildcats!
