Giving students a voice ... in Mrs. Reed's 1st grade classroom students noticed they were struggling with lining up. So, they completed the barrier strategy protocol to solve their problem. Their words; their thoughts; their solution.
Kids value what they help create!

Our leadership team (guiding coalitiion) meets every 2 weeks. We always begin our meetings with celebrations. We wanted to give you a peek into the many celebrations of achievement and growth of our Scholars:
In kindergarten 38 students have moved into an extension group for reading!
In 1st grade 12 of 14 students exited from intervention, achieving grade level reading!
In 2nd grade, reading engagement is up for ALL students!
In 3rd grade intervention group on basic subtraction all but 2 students passed the assessment and have strategies!
4th graders have started book clubs, sparking a renewed interest in reading!
5th graders are seeing the largest group of students in extensions (not requiring intervention) than ever before!
Continue to follow our story of achievement and growth as we #shinebrightlikeascholar!
